ChristianaCare, one of the country’s most dynamic healthcare organizations, is partnering with PursueCare, a leading virtual behavioral health and addiction treatment provider, and SimpleTherapy, a comprehensive digital program that treats muscle and joint conditions, to bring virtual, whole-person care to universities, colleges, and other institutions of higher education.

The bundled product combines general medical services from ChristianaCare’s Center for Virtual Health, mental health and addiction treatment programs from PursueCare, and hyper-personalized musculoskeletal (MSK) muscle and joint care from SimpleTherapy, allowing higher education institutions to offer their students greater access to high-quality care.

There are other telemedicine companies, even ones that provide access to care for students. But the vast majority of them are condition-specific or confined to one area of healthcare. None of them offer the comprehensive physical and mental health services of the combined companies involved in Student Care Solutions.

How does it work?

The combined offering will be available to students at participating higher education institutions through a customized portal, accessible from any computer or mobile device. Students will be able to access assessments, resources, and virtual treatment via modules or telemedicine sessions with licensed providers. The offering provides students with unlimited, on-demand care from a multidisciplinary team solving for a multitude of conditions. ChristianaCare’s Center for Virtual Health’s internal medicine and family medicine providers, PursueCare’s Joint Commission-accredited mental health, psychiatric, and medication-assisted treatment providers, and SimpleTherapy’s licensed physical therapists specializing in MSK preventing and treating acute or chronic pain, can all be accessed through the portal. Additionally, students will be able to utilize PursueCareRx, a full-service mail-order pharmacy, to consult with pharmacists and order any necessary prescriptions.
